Bin and audit log

The bin is always there. The audit log is a module: switch it on under CRM → Modules once more than one person works in the CRM.

The bin

Deleting a contact, company or deal moves it to the bin. It disappears from lists, search, segments and email audiences, and comes back exactly as it was if restored.

The CRM bin with deleted contacts, companies and deals to restore or delete for good
  • CRM → Bin lists what is in the bin. Restore puts a record back; Delete for good removes it with its timeline, tasks and field values.
  • Records are deleted for good automatically after 30 days in the bin.
  • A deal whose contact or company is deleted for good stays, without the link.

The bin is for CRM managers.

The audit log

The timeline records what happened with a person. The audit log records what your team did to the data: who created, changed, binned, restored, merged or deleted a record (with the old and new values of changed fields), who imported or exported, who saved a segment or deleted a list, who started a campaign and who changed settings.
