Roadmap
Bookings is Forms' Phase 10: reservations stay in their own extension and plug into Forms by adding a field and an action, the way the CRM and Membership do, so no booking code ever moves into Forms. Status is checked against the extension's files automatically.
Verified against the extension source on 2026-10-20.
Phase 1 · Bookables and the booking formDone
4/4Anything bookable, one availability engine, and a booking form that is a normal form.
- Bookables by the night or by time slot — Done
Rooms, rentals, tables and services: how many at once, guest limit, seasonal nightly rates, fees and deposit, or opening hours cut into slots with a break, minimum notice and how far ahead.
- One availability engine — Done
What is free and what it costs, asked by the calendar, the server check, the REST endpoint and the admin alike; held pending bookings, blocks and other calendars all count.
- Dates and availability field + Reserve action — Done
A live calendar in any form (taken dates struck through, free times, the price), booked under a lock when the form is sent; answer tags and two starters.
- Confirm or decline, from the email or the admin — Done
The owner alert with signed Confirm / Decline links, the guest receipt and answer emails, and the Bookings list with blocks.
Phase 2 · Running the bookingsDone
5/5Everything an owner needs day to day.
- Calendar view in the admin — Done
A month and week view of every bookable, with drag to block and click to open a booking; add a phone booking by hand.
- Sync with other booking sites — Done
Import other channels' calendars (hourly) and export ours at a secret address, per bookable, so a night booked elsewhere is never offered here.
- Guests manage their booking — Done
A private link in every email to see, change or cancel the booking within the rules the owner sets.
- Deposits and totals paid online — Done
The booking's total or deposit added to the Forms order, so Stripe or PayPal take it when the form is sent; refunds noted on the booking.
- CRM connection — Done
Guests become contacts with each booking on their timeline and a pipeline of stays.
Phase 3 · More ways to bookPlanned
0/4The cases a single rental or a single service does not cover.
- The visitor chooses what to book — Planned
One field offering several rooms or staff, with what is free for the chosen dates.
- Weekday rates, long-stay discounts, extras — Planned
Weekend prices, a discount from a number of nights, and priced extras (breakfast, airport pickup).
- Reminders and follow-ups — Planned
An email before arrival or the appointment, and a thank-you after.
- Move a rental site's own booking plugin onto Bookings — Planned
The bespoke plugin that pioneered the Stay dates field and Reserve action moves its rooms, bookings and calendars into Bookings.
