SEO Basics
SEO (search engine optimization) is helping search engines understand your pages so the right people find them. Most of it is just… making a good, clear page. There are no magic tricks — there are fundamentals.
The fundamentals
- A unique title & meta description per page. The
<title>is the clickable headline in Google; the description is the snippet under it. Make each page's own and descriptive. - One clear topic per page. A page that answers one question well beats a page that half-answers ten.
- Good headings. Your heading structure tells search engines what the page is about (see Semantic HTML).
- Descriptive URLs.

- Structured data (schema.org) can earn rich results — star ratings, breadcrumbs, FAQs — but only mark up things genuinely on the page; faking it gets sites penalised.
- Write for humans. Google rewards content that actually helps; keyword-stuffing is penalised, not rewarded.
