Pages going stale
The most useful editorial work on an established site is rarely writing new pages. It is finding the ones that quietly stopped being true.
The report lists your pages oldest-touched first, with how long since each was last edited and how many words are on it, flagging the stale and the thin. Both thresholds are yours to set.
Word count is measured from the page-builder tree, not from the stored markup — so a builder page is counted by the prose a reader actually sees, rather than by the HTML around it. Without that, every builder page would read as thin and the report would be noise.
Age and length say what to look at, not what is wrong. A page can be four years old and perfectly correct. This report is a reading list, not a fault list — it gets sharper when Search Console arrives and can say which of those pages used to earn traffic.
